Paintball Scenario, Extreme Paintball

One type of the fasting growing extreme paintball games are paintball scenario games. Over the years, players, sponsors and field owners have come to recognize paintball scenario games as well-organized extreme paintball games.. These types of games are the most entertaining and least competitive games in extreme paintball.

Paintball scenario games provide friendships for the players and there are no real losers. These games are fun fantasy events and are unlike most other games in extreme paintball.

The most popular reason for attending these PSG’s is the theme. Most paintball scenario games are based on historic military events or science fiction and action movies. For example, Fox 4 Paintball in Massachusetts, runs PSG’s such as the Red Dawn, Vietnam War era, Far and Away land Grab and Smugglers Blues scenarios. They all have different locations, fees and producers. Low Country Paintball in Georgia has a “Christian Crusade” game on Feb, 7th, 2009, “Harry Potter Book 4” game on March 7th, 2009 and a “Prison Escape” game, based on Prison Break, on Oct 10th, 2009.

There are set boundaries for the players and the main category for these types of extreme paintball games are Single day paintball scenario games. The single day games allow usually 8 to 12 hours of daylight play and are set up either as Mission Oriented games or the Big Game. Mission oriented paintball scenario games divide the day into a series of mission time periods. Players are divided into 2 teams and perform opposing mission assignments. These extreme paintball missions usually last up to 45 minutes and up to 12 are allowed. This type of paintball scenario game also relies heavily on props, such as ammo boxes. The other type of extreme paintball game is The Big Game. This paintball scenario game is 6 to 8 hours and usually ends in some sort of battle. Each side is given control of half of the play field, containing strategic areas that must be defended from capture by the players. The object of this game is to control those areas for lengths of time to score points. Props are also used for this game.

There is always a command structure and role playing in these extreme paintball games. These paintball scenario games are very imaginative and not meant for every paintball player. But they provide a great deal of entertainment and are a great way to play paintball.
